Il prossimo 9 novembre da Christie’s si terrà un’asta, “The Artist’s Muse”, ispirata appunto alle donne che hanno ispirato alcuni grandi artisti.
La vendita – stimata complessivamente tra i 440 e i 542 milioni di dollari – consiste in 34 pezzi, tra cui lavori di Lucian Freud, Paul Cezanne, Peter Doig, Pablo Picasso, Alberto Giacometti, Roy Lichtenstein e Amedeo Modigliani.
Grande attesa per l’opera “Nu couche” di Modigliani, realizzata tra il 1917 e il 1918, che è stata stimata oltre 100 milioni di dollari. Sembra così destinata a superare il record appartenente ad una scultura dello stesso artista: la Tête (73 centimetri, in pietra) venduta da Sotheby’s l’anno scorso per 70 milioni e 725mila dollari.
