A distanza di qualche giorno dalla visita londinese del Presidente Usa Barack Obama e di sua moglie Michelle è emersa una vicenda curiosa legata ad un quadro di Kensington Palace.
“The Negro Page”, il dipinto in questione, del pittore olandese Albert Cuyp e risalente al 1660, raffigura infatti un servo di colore che tiene le redini di due cavalli. E per evitare di offendere la sensibilità dei due visitatori la targhetta dell’opera è stata rimossa.
Inoltre, per coprire il buco lasciato dalla suddetta targhetta, uno degli assistenti ha messo al suo posto una lampada – che si vede molto bene nella gallery qui sopra –.
